About Tornado Alley Tour
Now that you have heard about our special designed chase tours let us explain to you what to expect from our tour.
How safe is your tour?
Although there is always a danger while storm chasing, our guide has the experience and knowledge that will keep you safe while on your tour of Tornado Alley. With our experience in the field combined with today's latest technology we are much more safe than we have ever been.
As experienced storm chasers we know where to position ourselves around storms so that we have a good view of the storm or tornado and being out of the storm's and / or tornado's path.
How long will my tour be?
Your Tornado Alley Storm Chasing Tour will be a six (6) day tour starting on Mondays and ending on Fridays. You can book double tours as well at a discounted price!
What will the normal day be like on my tour?
We start out the morning with a rigorous morning weather analysis. Your guide will give you a in depth briefing on the conditions, the chase target and what you might expect on the given chase day. It is this stage we really want you to be apart of the team! We want to teach you when, why, and how!
Most chase days we will depart from the hotel between 9am and noon. In some cases we may leave earlier if the weather conditions warrant doing so.
It is almost guarantied that we will be driving and chasing until dusk We DO NOT chase after dark on our tours. Even with mobile radar the dangers of chasing enhance greatly if we can not visually see what is going on around us.
How many people will be on the tour?
Though not necessarily a bad thing, many other tour guides cram 10 or more people into a van making the trip a little less personable and perhaps less comfortable for the clients.
Unlike many chase tours, we like to keep our occupancy small. All tours will ranging from 1 to 3 storm chasers. Why? We think it is the best environment for our customers to be in so that you can feel more relaxed, learn more, and have more fun!

What Type of vehicle will
I be travel
We will be providing you with a fuel efficient yet comfortably spaced mid-size SUV that seats five (5). Although we will only be seating 4 for extra space for you and your comfort.
What equipment does your tour company use?
Our chase tour vehicle is equipped with:
- Mobile Computer System
- Amplified Mobile Internet provided by Sprint.
- State of the art forecasting tools.
- Three sources of Doppler Radar.
- Radio Communication Equipment.
- DVD players on each customer's seat for the your entertainment!

We will also be streaming live video over the internet for your friends to watch!
What States does the tour cover?
Although it is hard to forecast which State's we will be visiting in our endeavors, we generally cover the following States: Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Missouri. Those are generally the best States to chase in for navigation and viewing reasons because of the terrain.
What will I see on my tour?
We will be in pursuit of Mother Nature's wild side and also her beautiful side.
It is guarantied that you will see a wide range of all of her spectacles. Our target is the wilder side of her temper and will be targeting the infamous supercell thunderstorms that are capable of producing tornadoes!
Will I see a tornado on the tour?
Although we will work very hard and use all of our experience to get you to a tornado, there is no 100% guarantee that we will see a tornado on a single 5 day tour. However there is a good chance that we will!
Our Guarantee to you!
Our guarantee to you is that you will see a supercell thunderstorm that will be capable of producing a tornado. If we can not get you to a supercell we will give you $200 cash off of your next tour booked with us!
No other tour company will give you that kind of guarantee! How can we guarantee this? There has not been a full week of chasing that we have not see a supercell capable of producing a tornado!
Logistics
Where is the starting point and end point of the tour?
Your Tornado Alley Storm Chasing Tour is based out of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in the very heart of Tornado Alley.
If you are flying, you will need to arrange your itinerary to arrive and depart to and from Will Rogers Airport in Oklahoma City.
You will need to arrive in Oklahoma City no later that 8am the morning of the first chase tour date. You will need to arrange the departure flight the following late afternoon or early evening after the last day of the chase tour as we may be chasing or traveling back to Oklahoma City very late the last night of the tour to get you back to your flight.
CAUTION: It is advisable to have your flight arrive the evening before the start of your tour just in case of flight delays. We CAN NOT wait for you.
How much should luggage should I bring?
Please pack for lightly as we will be limited on room for luggage. It is advisable to pack for the full five days but limit the non essentials. Bring a light jacket as well because in some cases the storm environment can be a little chilly!
What Hotels will we be staying in during the tour?
We will provide you with nationally recognized chain hotels such as Super 8, Comfort Inns, Econo Lodges, and equivalent quality economical hotels.
NOTE: In some cases we may be
in a situation that will warrant us to stay in locally owned
non national chain hotels due to logistical, geographical,
and / or availability restraints and conditions./p>
What if I do not want to
stay in those hotels?
You may stay at another hotel
in the area if the hotel we are staying is not to your
liking. However, you will be responsible for transportation
to and from the hotel the tour guide is staying in. You will
also be responsible for any difference in pricing in
relation to the cost of the tour guide's hotel cost.
Furthermore, you must be back at the hotel in which the tour
guide is staying in time for tour departure. We CAN NOT
wait.
Pricing
What is the deposit for?
The deposit you will be required to pay is for the purpose of reserving your seat for the chase tour. This is deposit is a non refundable deposit and will not be refunded for any reason.
What is included in the price of the tour?
The tour price includes transportation for the entire tour, fuel, educational materials, and hotel stays for 4 to 5 nights.
What is not included in the tour price?
You will be responsible for your food, drinks, and souvenirs.
Refunds?
There will be no refunds of deposit for any reason. Your tour guide and Ptak Entertainment .LLC has the right to remove any person or persons from the tour for any reason. Please insure that you are comfortable with the tour date you choose as there will be no refunds if you need to cancel. There will be no refunds for person or persons that are removed from the tour by tour guide and Ptak Entertainment .LLC. There will be no refund for any reason for the person or persons who must leave the tour early.
What about Video and Photography?
We encourage you to bring your video and photography equipment as this is one of the main points of the tour! The video and pictures you shoot are of your own personal property and may be used commercially or privately!
The Tornado Alley Storm Chasing Tour or tour guide and Ptak Entertainment .LLC does not provide video or photography equipment.
